Takashima Orimono’s collaboration with kimono designer Jotaro Saito will be presented in Kyoto, Hiroshima and Fukuoka, according to Yashima’s October 15 release. The new kimono, named 柳更紗に斜めストライプ, is announced in five colourways: red, blue, moss green, mustard and beige.

An obi maker’s programme and its limits

The issuer identifies Takashima as a Nishijin obi manufacturer founded in Kyoto in 1915. That company background does not establish the fibre composition or production method of this particular kimono. The release does not specify whether the offered product is a cloth bolt or a finished, tailored garment, so this report makes no such assumption.

Upcoming exhibition dates are November 13–15, 2026, at 百代織染館 in Kyoto; December 19–21 at Shareo Kamiyacho Swing in Hiroshima; and February 20–22, 2027, at Nishitetsu Inn Fukuoka’s A Hall. The release gives 10:00–18:00 hours for Kyoto and Hiroshima. Tokyo’s October 2–4 presentation has already ended.

The programme also lists an Art Uni collaboration, new obi and a workshop using obi fabric. Current admission or reservation availability, prices, tailoring conditions, care requirements and overseas delivery have not been verified.
