Match the bit to the machine and material
The product page identifies ordinary wood and shallow through-holes as the intended application. All sizes have a 6.35 mm hex shank. STAR-M specifies impact drivers and drill drivers rated at 14.4 V or above, with an appropriate rotation speed of no more than 3,000 rpm. These are the maker’s stated limits, not results from our own drilling tests.
Its FAQ warns that the screw-point design can split bamboo and directs users toward dedicated alternatives. A wood-drill listing therefore should not be read as approval for every plant material or every driver setting.
Hand finishing in the production account
STAR-M says its conventional spiral-type wood drills are sharpened individually by hand. The same company account describes checking for distortion after heat treatment. These are descriptions of its manufacturing practice, not independent measurements of this range’s cutting performance.
The current catalogue includes prices and dimensions, but the October notice does not confirm present stock or delivery. We have not tested the bits.
