Finish, format and lead time
The linked official seller’s current listing identifies keyaki wood and a fuki-urushi, or wiped-urushi, finish. It offers ballpoint and mechanical-pencil options at a displayed ¥22,000. The price line does not specify a tax basis, so this report does not assign one.
The listing gives an approximate dispatch-completion plan of one and a half months after an order is completed. That is a made-to-order lead-time statement, not immediate-stock confirmation or a guaranteed arrival date. It also says buyers cannot select the grain pattern. Overseas delivery and actual acceptance of an order remain unconfirmed.
A workshop’s role
Shioyasu dates its founding to 1858 on its official homepage. That background concerns the finishing workshop; it does not mean every component of the pen was made there, or establish performance, provenance certification or a measured environmental benefit. We have not handled or tested the pen.
