A skillet and a kettle in Oitomi’s collaboration with Oshu’s official mascot have different intended destinations. The city’s October 6 announcement presents the Oshu Taro skillet as a planned made-to-order item, while stating that the separate kettle has no sale planned.

What the announcement establishes

The skillet is listed at 18 cm in diameter, 36 cm overall including its handle, and 4.5 cm deep. The stated price is ¥22,000 including tax. The made-to-order arrangement is a plan in the notice, rather than confirmation that orders are currently open.

The kettle was intended for display at Oitomi’s shop and, after a planned presentation ceremony, at city hall. We have not confirmed those displays in person or their current status.

Oitomi’s own website dates the workshop’s founding in Mizusawa, Iwate, to 1848. That history does not establish the coating or compatible heat sources of either new piece; this report makes no such use recommendation.
