Different jobs on the table
The official shop lists the pickling container at 1,200 ml, 20 cm in diameter and 13 cm high, for ¥9,900 including tax. The 400 ml bowl measures 12.5 cm in diameter and 8 cm high and costs ¥4,180 including tax.
Neither item is dishwasher compatible. The container must not be used for cooking over gas or induction, or in an oven or microwave. Its ceramic construction should not be mistaken for permission to heat it like a cooking pot.
Nagatani-en dates its kiln’s establishment in Marubashira, Iga, Mie, to 1832. That maker history provides context for the vessels; this report makes no health or fermentation-performance claim.
The container is currently marked for reservations with a delivery delay. The shop limits orders to one container and six bowls per household; current bowl stock is not confirmed. Its homepage also warns that dispatch is taking three weeks to one month.
