Morita Shikki plans to sell three styles of natural-colour KINOKO wooden lights at Shinjuku Takashimaya from October 28 to November 3, 2026. Its October 23 announcement names BELL, DRESS and TOWER; the BELL samples used for a visitor survey are display-only.
The maker describes KINOKO as an application of Yamanaka lacquerware's usubiki, or thin-turning, technique. Its product specification identifies Japanese-grown mizume wood with a urethane finish. The connection to lacquerware craftsmanship does not make this an urushi-coated lamp.
Electrical requirements deserve a separate check before purchase: the manufacturer's specification is AC100V, an E17 fitting and LED bulbs rated at no more than 10W. It warns against holding the thin wooden rim when fitting a bulb; support the metal fitting or the area where it attaches instead. We have not tested the lamp or verified compatibility with electrical systems outside Japan.
The event announcement says its sale items include an LED bulb, whereas the general product page excludes bulbs. Treat the included bulb as an event-specific offer. The official shop displayed an unavailable message when checked; that does not establish stock at the forthcoming event. Event prices and remaining quantities are unconfirmed.
The pop-up is on the store's tenth floor. Morita lists planned opening hours of 10:30–19:30 and cautions that quantities are limited.
