Maruhiro’s October 1 Iroha feature describes a change of production kiln accompanied by revisions to form, clay, glaze and decoration. It presents the BARBAR range as a renewal, rather than a newly created brand.
Check the individual bowl
The maker says artisans paint the decoration individually with gosu pigment. It relates the series to Hasami’s Edo-period kurawanka bowls; that is the maker’s design reference, not an independent dating of these new pieces. No pattern or source image is reproduced here.
For the current rice-bowl listing, specifications are porcelain, 11.5 cm diameter by 6.3 cm high, 300 cc and 240 g. The price is ¥2,310 including tax. The page allows size variation of about ±3 mm and notes differences in glaze and painted decoration.
That bowl permits microwave and dishwasher use, but prohibits direct flame, induction and oven use. It warns against sudden temperature changes, including plunging a hot vessel into water. These instructions should not be transferred to other items solely because they share a series name.
The official shop’s guide says it does not offer overseas delivery. Displayed purchasing controls do not confirm stock for a chosen pattern or completion of an order.
