Ikutouen is making pottery for the 47th Tsuboya Pottery Festival in Naha, Okinawa. The kiln's October 24 announcement confirms its participation and describes work being prepared specifically for the gathering, including mugs with individually differing shapes.
The festival is scheduled for November 20–22, 2026, from 10:00 to 17:00 each day at Naha Municipal Tsuboya Elementary School, 3-14-12 Makishi. This is a forthcoming event; the announcement does not establish individual item prices or remaining quantities.
Ikutouen describes incised everyday tableware and lions made using inherited moulds as specialities of its Tsuboya workshop. That background identifies the maker's practice; it does not establish the clay body, glaze or care requirements of every piece offered at the festival.
Another planned activity is Kami Subu, a team pottery contest. In the kiln's explanation, potters work to an assigned theme and compete on speed and the quality of the finished form. Ikutouen says its craftspeople plan to take part. It gives no contest timetable in this announcement.
For anyone choosing functional ware, ask about the particular piece's material and care requirements at the venue. This report does not claim microwave, dishwasher or heat-source compatibility, and we have not tested the pottery.
