HOZAN’s October 9 notice groups DK-54-1 through DK-54-13 as thirteen new practice-wire variants for Japan’s second-class electrician skills examination.
An extra attempt at a particular problem
The DK-54-1 page identifies its purpose as one additional practice allocation for candidate problem No. 1 in the 2026 examination. It lists ¥1,705 including tax, or ¥1,550 before tax. Wire is pre-cut, and the contents include small ring sleeves. This is a preparation supply, not a promise of examination success.
Tools and electrical fixtures are required separately; the page also says fixtures and a handbook are not supplied. Readers comparing kits should therefore distinguish an additional wire pack from a complete training setup. We have not assembled or tested the exercise.
A longer link with exam tools
HOZAN’s company history records the launch of its P-958 VVF stripper in 2015. That is background to its examination-tool offering, not a claim that the older tool is included in DK-54-1.
